1985 AC 3000ME For Sale

Chassis Number 204, 8th from last Glasgow built 3000ME for sale. I purchased this car exactly a year ago and other investments have overtaken things so it's now up for sale.

The Good Bits

Probably the best documented history file of any AC, includes original sales invoice, brochures, andbook, magazine articles and every bill from the original sale unti the. £1,500 spent last year to rebuild the brakes (including handbrake), and the gear linkage. Car comes with a huge amount of documents.

Very complete car in Midnight Blue with colour coded option (Glasgow cars only had this) and 78k miles from new. Rebuilt engine (bill to prove) with good oil pressure, AC rocker covers, hood bag, Wolfrace spare, leather seats with lumbar supports. Unmarked interior, everything works, electric windows etc (even the handrake light and the boot light!). Keeps remarkably cold even in the hot weather we've just had.

Galvanised chassis from new means it's completely solid. Engine compartment is clean and oil free. Has had the modification to increase rear suspension camber so it handles, dampers were replaced about 15k ago.

Has been fitted with those nice sounding stainless steel exhausts and manifolds.

The Not So Good Bits

The car has never been resprayed so it has the usual stone chips, a few on the front and a few where the side vents meet the sills. Although the gearbox changes OK it's a bit noisy and would benefit from the usual rebuild
that AC's need to go through. Carpets are a bit worn, but if that's a sticking point I'll buy a set.
