Battery box.
The screw to the right of the battery is one
of six that must be removed to lift out the battery box.
Front compartment
The relays to the right need to be unscrewed
as they are attached to the chassis; the ones to the left
are attached to the body and can be left in situ when the
body is removed.
Front compartment
Master cylinders and front hatch bracket
Battery box removed.
Chassis Attachment
One of the four main body to chassis attachment
bolts.
Front End
Radiator with grille removed. The rad and associated
hoses are all attached to the body and can be left in place
as the body is removed.
Inside the o/s 3/4 panel.
The big pipe is the fuel feeder, the front
end of which leads to the flexible pipe to the tank. The latter
must be removed to pull the body off and/or the tank out.
The metal pipe can stay with the body but is likely to be
rusty and in need of treatment. The diagonal is the brace
from the subframe to the roll bar and must be disconnected
at its rear end to remove the body, or its right hand end
to remove the roll bar (same in n/s panel). The corrugated
panel is the rear of the oil cooler which stays with the body
when it comes off.
Dash
Centre instrument panel. This is retained by
four screws in its corners, and is removed with all its switches
as one unit after pulling off the heater lever knobs and disconnecting
(and marking!) the wires at the rear

Binnacle coming off.
Dash
Under the binnacle - wires connecting to the
centre light.
Inside the cabin
The o/s roll bar bolts. These must be removed
to pull the body.
Inside the cabin
Front end of the n/s sill after removal of
the carpet. Two holes (usually filled with plastic padding)
that conceal the door stay bolts. The inner one must be removed
to pull the body.
Front compartment
The red wire is the main battery feed to the
starter motor. This runs to the engine bay and is left in
place when the body is pulled (although disconnected at the
other end from the starter motor).
