‘AC 3000’, ‘ME 3000’ (usually pre-fixed
with ‘AC’), and ‘AC 3000ME’ were all used
at some stage by Thames Ditton. However, it is clear that all Thames
Ditton production cars were designated ‘AC 3000ME’.
AC (Scotland) cars appear to be likewise
Through production there were changes to the chassis number prefix.
However the last 3 digits run continuously from 110 to 182.
Each ‘tub’ has a unique 3-digit number at the top rear
of the centre tunnel. This does not always match the chassis number!
